Ingredients
Glaze
This is a bread machine recipe. If you are making it by hand, just be sure to knead it long enough.
Set machine to make dough. Add all ingredients in order listed.
Knead in by hand, adding as little extra flour as possible. Divide into 2 and place each piece in a well-greased loaf pan. Bake in a 350 F oven for 40 minutes.
Melt together in a saucepan over low heat. Pour over the top of the Babka.
To mix by hand
Warm the milk to room temperature in microwave or in a saucepan. Add yeast and let sit 10 minutes. Whisk in eggs, melted chocolat, melted butter and vanilla. Add sugar, salt and 1 cup flour. Stir vigorously for 3 minutes. Add remaining flour 1 cup at a time until 3 cups have been added. Knead on a lightly floured board for 10 minutes, adding the remaining 1/2 cup flour. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Proceed as above.
